This houses and displays arts and crafts as well as historical materials which have been dedicated to Itsukushima Shrine since its construction more than 800 years ago. Many of them are valuable and rare, and are designated as national treasures.

The museum preserves the main house and part of a storehouse which formerly belonged to the Egami family, one of the most prosperous merchant families in Miyajima. It exhibits folk materials that provide insights into the lives of ordinary people, and historical materials including ancient documents, and poems and paintings depicting Miyajima.

Miyajima Public Aquarium is currently closed for renovation. The aquarium will reopen in August 2011.
The center is intended to promote and develop Miyajima's traditional craftwork industry. Its display room exhibits piece by the craftsmen at the forefront of the industry today.

Facing a white beach, the park has campsites, cabins for families and groups, playgrounds, tennis courts, and outdoor grills. Visitors can enjoy swimming in the ocean in summer, and surf casting in other seasons.
All park facilities are available by reservation only. (Reservations cannot be made via email.)
