Omoto Park is rare in the world, famous for its large Japanese firs which grow near the shoreline, and it is scented with a mixture of seawater and woody fragrance. It is also famous for the beauty of its cherry blossoms in the spring.

Momijidani Park stretches along the valley at the foot of Mt. Misen, and also along the Momijidani River. Visitors can enjoy how each season brings its own seasonal beauty to the park; cherry blossoms in the spring, new leaves in the summer, and colored leaves in the autumn. Visitors will also have the opportunity to enjoy approximately 200 Japanese maples simultaneously changing color in the autumn.

Mt. Misen, the main peak in Miyajima, is 535 meters high. Its northern slope is covered with virgin forests, where conifers coexist with southern plants. These forests provide a valuable opportunity to see primeval plants such as Trochodendrales in their natural state. The mountain enchants visitors with the beauty of its natural forests inhabited by different varieties of plants and fine views which can be enjoyed from the mountain top.

Several climbing trails lead to the top of 535-meter high Mt. Misen. It takes about one hour to one and a half hours to walk from the foot to the top of the mountain. Visitors will enjoy the various types of beauty that Mt. Misen offers, including the seasonal changes in the scenery, large and unusually shaped rocks, and a magnificent view laid before your eyes.
